    storing and transporting ammo

i tend to buy alot of bulk ammo and wanted to know if its a good/bad idea to transfer the ammo from the package into an ammo can for storage/transport.
are there dangers or will the ammo deteriorate faster? thanks for any input

make sure the seal on the ammo can is in good shape. That will keep out/in the moisture. You want the moisture to stay out which means if you put a desiccant pack in there it will suck up the moisture. This will be much better than keeping the ammo in the bag/box. I typically dont worry about it because I am not storing anything for a long time.

thanks for the info. do i need to worry about the ammo bumping around in the can while on the way to the range?

I have a surplus .50 ammo can with some dessicant packs thrown in-- I stack my boxes inside. Seems to work fine.
