    Glock Still Making Gen 3s?

Well I have seen alot of discussion about this and some threads have been saying that Glock will stop making Gen 3s by the end of this year or something like that. But according to the latest "nutnfancy" video, the rep at SHOT said they will continue to make Gen 3s and the Gen 4s were not replacing them. Skip to around 9:00 to hear it.

      I don't think they'll stop making them - they're too popular.

However - Glock is not known for making common sense decisions.

What happened to Glock Gen2? OH wait, Gen3 came out so they stopped making Gen2. What happened to Glock RTF frame? Oh wait, Glock Gen4 came out so they discontinued that too. According to Glock Reps I spoke with last week, they will stop making Gen3 the end of next year. So you still have another year and 10 months or something like that..

I could see Glock continuing to make small runs of Gen 3's just for CA. CA is a huge Glock market. Either that or they browbeat CA policy makers until the Gen 4 is on the approved list.

Don't know if this is true, but a good story anyway. I heard that when the Gen 3's came out they didn't get approved as a CA safe gun. Glock then threatened to not sell or service to any CA Glocks including those used by law enforcement. Suddenly they were on the approved list again.

I don't think glocks got the balls to do such a thing like Barret did. But they do have the balls to sue kwa(an airsoft manufacturer) that made glock replicas. I dont see why the lawsuit. Kwa is basically giving away free advertisement. Think about it. Airsofter buys kwa glock, likes it and goes out to get the real steel. It's a win-win for glock, but no, they had to pick on the weak.

according to a district manager for glock, and im paraphrasing "there are no plans to stop producing the gen 3 at this moment in time". he also wanted to clear rumors that glock has no intention of modifying the glock gen 4 to satisfy lawyers to be cali compliant.
