A buddy of mine is considering his first handgun purchase. I took him to Bright Spot Pawn and showed him what they had (Glocks, 1911s, a few revolvers). This guys has some massive hands. All of the handguns he picked up were too small for his giant hands. So my question is which handguns (revolver or semi auto) would you recommend he try in the hopes of finding one that would fit him. Desert Eagle is probably out, as I don't think he wants to drop that much cash. Probably something under $500 (if possible). Thanks.

Yeah, full size Glocks are pretty big, but I like 'em.
Unless he's got really long fingers I don't think a DE is the way to go. Yeah it's pretty large, but the grip isn't really that long, so think fingers don't work too well IMO, gotta have reeeeally long fingers.Comment

HK USPs are also pretty dang large, even in 9mm. The USP .45 is a big gun, similar to a G20/21.Comment

If you broaden what you're looking for, a Ruger Bisley single-action revolver is great for large hands.
An S&W full-size wheelgun (L or N frame) with larger 'target' grips or some of the Hogue grips works well too.
