    Cool Colts!

Went into a local gunstore and saw two extremely attractive Colt Revolvers --
The first was a .22/.22 mag convertible Colt New Frontier from the 1970's I guess, unfired in the box, and wonderfully case hardened (that didn't come out in the photo)

and the real showpiece was a factory two inch barreled SAA -- a factory Sheriff's model (designated on box endpapers) with Gen-you-wine Ivory grips.

Both these guns may be up for auction in by Simi's LOCK STOCK & BARREL Investments -- Unless I can see something first and buy them out!

I guess we don't have as many SAA fans -- I know they don't take hi-caps, but they are still cool!

I love SAA guns. I have the Uberti Beretta version of that Colt Sheriff's model and the standard 45 long colt SAA. They are cool! The Colts are just out of my poor boy price range!

The bluing on the SAA, from the photo, looks like the same bluing on the Python.

That's from a time AFTER the third Gen SAAs, when the guns came out of the custom shop. Many looked like they had just been dipped and were still wet.

God, Now I miss my Python...

Dude, you have some of the coolest toys I've seen, I wish I could shoot half of what you have pictured here, in the past.

Case hardened hammer sides? My 3rd gen has white sides, I think - had the thing for two years and haven't shot it yet. The "wet" bluing looks perfect and I don't want to scratch it.

Thanks, but these two MAY end up in my safe, if I win the lottery!
They're up for auction next month at LSB...
