    New Holster

I just picked up a paddle holster for one of my guns. I have been wearing it off and on throughout the day in the house. It definitely takes some getting used to. I never had a holster before.

    Any tips or pointers?

Heavy, stiff belt is nice to have. I had to get a thicker and stiffer belt a couple days ago, because the 1/5" nylon ones I have, although lightweight, aren't heavy duty enough and start to sag and fold under weight.

I have having to wear my pants up so high for it to be comfortable. I wouldn't say I normally sag my pants, but for my to comfortably holster a gun, it feels like my pants have to be cinched up to my belly button almost...

At home I wear a pancake and an L-frame S&W almost all the time. I found that a good stiff belt -- I like the wildnerness instructor belt or an equivalent -- and Perrys suspenders works well.

As said, a good belt makes all the difference.

I like my 5.11 Tactical w/ stiffeners. In-expensive and it doesnt scream out *GUN BELT* like a lot of the others on the market.
