How did you get a Caspian into California? Last time I looked (well over a few months ago) they were not on the approved list so couldn't be imported.

He may have had it before it went off the list, could have purchased it via PPT from someone else who legally owned it, could have moved into CA with it, could have inherited it.

I bought the frame and slide in North Carolina when I was stationed at fort Bragg and that was 6-7 yrs ago. Have been tinkering off and on ever since. I finally told myself I was going to finish the damn thing and it WILL be complete tomorrow and 7 days for the finish to cure then off to the range I have shot the gun standing at 30yds and the group produced with 2 full mags you could cover with a half dollar coin. The gun will probably do 1.5-2in at 50yds i was only able to pull about 2 inches at 30 but i dont think i can shoot any better than that. Not sure many folks can. This gun has been a labor of love spanning over 6 yrs and i am so tempted to rush and finish but tomorrow she will be done, she will go in the safe for 7 days then im gonna shoot the crap out of it

                    Nice toy!

I have been sitting on a several STI & Caspian frames but too lazy to get a project going. Maybe, this will inspire me to finally start a new project.

I am happy of the way it turned out. No one had thei hands on my gun but me. I radiused the front and back edges and matched the radius on th e bushing BY HAND. I am stoked. Let the bidding begin.
