      Hmmmmm.

If it's there in a few weeks & closer to $550.00 maybe I'd jump. I've got an old 1917 with a nicely done 3" bbl to use as down payment.

If it's a consignment gun you can always make an offer of a lower price. They'll call the owner to see if its accepted.

Looks pretty much new. Could be 10 rounds, could be 200 - can't really tell but it's very clean.

How come? I haven't been there all that often, don't know them well at all.

Imbert & Smithers is great. Usually they price there used S&W's 50% less or more than Kerley's in Cupertino.

I've had pretty good dealings with them in years past. Why the comment?

I'm curious too, in all my dealings with them I've never had an issue.

They are fast, efficient, friendly and always have a good consignment selection that moves pretty quick.

Yes some of there regular merchandise is price but other shops charge even more.

I agree...have had good experiences there, and they've been patient with me as my "trips under glass" and "actual purchases" probably number 100-to-1. Plus, you can't beat the banter behind the counter.

                          --Neill

PS - reminds me of Old Sac Armoury -- whenever I've gone to pick up a gun after the waiting period, somebody behind the counter always says "oh yeah, wasn't that the one we dropped on the cement the other day?" I've seen them do it twice to other customers. It wasn't REALLY funny the first time....

Their prices are extremely high........ One time they had a yugo SKS for $550 dollars. That was a few years ago. The also had a standard m1a for $1900. Never went back again.

It just goes to show that not eveything in every shop is priced at or below current market value, thats why we shop around.

I have gotten some great deals at Imbert & Smither and will continue to shop there.
