I don't have a .40 caliber gun yet, but its on my wish list this year. But I prefer one with a single action trigger. I don't plan on doing any mods like trigger jobs. I already have a .45 for home defense so this will just be a range gun for target shooting. I like something with more kick than a 9mm and I could get a box of 50 rounds for $12 so the price of ammo isn't really an issue.

USP 40(Complaints about the trigger?)
CZ-75 40(Doesn't have a good out of the box trigger?)
XDM 40 via single shot(Trigger is close to single action, but trigger pull is as heavy as the Glock)
