How much are these guns worth???

I have a friend whose husband passed away and left a safe full of guns. She may want to sell them but doesn't really know what they're worth.

Maybe you guys can help?

Here are the guns she has:

Colt series 70 government model

S&W Model 66 in .357

Ruger Blackhawk convertible revolver

Ruger MarkII silver grip

Harrington & Richardson model 929 .22 revolver

Ortgies 6.35MM revolver

They are all in excellent condition.

Barrel length, year of manufacture (if known), finish... pictures would be great.

The Model 66 is in demand. Some barrel lengths and dash numbers more than others.

Impossible to put a real price on anything without more information.

I've seen a couple H&R 929 for 300-400. IMO overpriced. Haven't been to that shop lately so don't know if they've sold but they'd been there awhile already.

There are gun stores that can apraise the value, go to couple different ones and get an average price. Or just go on gun broker and see how much they go for.

Sorry for your loss. Just do some research on gunbroker or take them to get appraised.

Use the Blue Book of Gun Values as a base line. Then Gunbrokers as a relative market price. Demand and specific features (ie. condition, age) will either bring the price up or down. Go to a dealer you can trust, not some random pawnshop. Remember, gunshops need to make a profit, so whatever price they are willing to buy it at will be very low.
