HK P2000 vs. cz 75 RAMI

I would like to get a gun for CCW when outside California ( planning on getting Utah and Nevada permits)
I know that HK is about $200 more, so does it worth more money?
Any other suggestions in the same class of guns/price range?

    Thanx

Forgot to mention : I already own cz75b and absolutely love the gun, so RAMI would holds extra advatage for me for being "same" gun with the same operation and general "feeling"

The essence of Western civilization is the Magna Carta, not the Magna Mac. The fact that non-Westerners may bite into the later has no implications for their accepting the former.

EDIT 2020: To be fair that seems to apply to many Westerners also.

There are alot of choices.. you have glocks and sigs as well. All these guns are great. You have to make sure you feel comfortable with the grip as well as the behavior. Go to the range and rent a few.

All the above guns are more accurate than me. Here's 10 rounds at 10 yards with my USP compact 9:

I was a new shooter and it was probably around the 1000 round mark.

You can get both of thses weapons for much less, barely used. Either weapon is a nice handgun but I would choose a P2K DA/DA for carry because of the light weight.

Look on HKPro.com. I purchased my USPc from a member here but there's many more HK P2000 sales on HKPro.com.

I carry a G19. Used to carry a SIG P228 but I never did really like the DA/SA transition. I prefer consistency shot to shot.

If you like the CZ-75 a lot, I'd recommend you also take a look at the CZ P-01. It's based on the CZ-75 but is smaller. It's a bit larger than the RAMI and b/c of that may be a bit harder to conceal, but it will also be closer to what you are used to shooting.

Discover CZ's newest firearms, articles and activities. Shop online, use the configurator, and find dealers near you.

If you're still interested in the P2000, I would suggest (as mentioned above) HKpro.com or ar15.com boards. Bought mine on ar15.com, though the gent was a member on both boards, for $575 shipped.

You know.... Frankly I have a trouble with smalish slide on PO1. Kind of difficult to operate, especially in cold....

I think all the slides on CZs don't give much to grip onto. Had a friend who ended up getting an XD over a CZ 75 cuz he didn't like the small grip area. It's all part of the inside-out frame/rail design that keeps the bore axis lower.
