    Walther P22/P22CA

Does any one know what is different between the Walther P22 and the california compliant P22CA?

Walther P22s have a threaded barrel with a locking "cap." California initially approved these guns, then listed them as AWs because of the threaded barrel feature. Walther now manufactures P22s with non-threaded barrels and they are listed as P22CA. Regular P22s, sold in "Free States," have the threaded & capped barrels.

Otherwise, they are the same gun.

It still has the threaded barrel Its just a non removable epoxyed on barrel cap. The cap on a p22 has a wrench slot, the p22ca does not.
