    getting my CZ chromed

I am interested in getting rid of the polycoat finish on my CZ. I have never had anything refinished so my question is does it matter that the frame is alloy (aluminum of some sort?) and the slide is steel?

Also, ideally I would like a dark gray or black stainless look. How might I accomplish this?

My money does not grow on trees, so suggestions on the cheapest route to go?

Am I crazy wanting to do this?

Techplate, they are in Anaheim and do all popular firearm finishes.
Their website gives some detail of the various finishes. email them with your questions.
I had them hardchrome a CZ-75B (bare frame) of mine, it turned out great and the price and turnaround were fantastic.

It really depends on what type of finish you are looking for. You asked about an aluminum frame, so do you have a p-01?

If you are looking for chrome, not all places will chrome an aluminum frame. Most aluminum frames are hard anodized. You can get anodizing done in about any color you desire.

When you say balck stainless, are you referring to the two-tone ish look on the Springfield 1911 balck stainless pistols? I know that Canyon Creek Custom will do something like it

How much are you thinking about spending? Your budget will help determine the options a little more clearly.
