I pickup my very first wheel gun tomorrow! I choose the S&W for the name. Got a 686+ with 5" barrel, as mentioned above.

I've owned a Smith 686 model 2 stainless with 4" barrel for 18 years. It was my first handgun. I still shoot it regularly today. Its possibly one of the finest modern day revolvers ever made and I would HIGHLY recommend it as a first gun. You can practice your marksmanship with relatively inexpensive .38spc cartridges, and leave it for home defense with .357 mag JHPs. Its also very damn accurate even after almost 2 decades.

Those mentioning the 686 above.. I agree entirely with them!

"Am very interested in the S&W 627 performance center 8 shot revolver... Originally wanted a 625 .45ACP a while back, so I can bring one cartridge for both my 1911 and revolver..."

The problem with revolvers is the train never stops......you just keep riding and buying and riding and buying.......

A few of the revo's I picked up along the way.

                Still looking?

Under Private firearms sales forum, check out the SW19-3 I have for sale. Excellent revolver with excellent trigger pull. That is if you're still lookingfor a revolver.

                    JS:

What sights are you using on the 627 in the far right??? It looks like an aftermarket fixed sight, perhaps a Cylinder & Slide ?
