    Smith and Wesson 625-3

    Gentlemen,
I've got a line on a S&W 625-3 .45 revolver with a 3" barrel. This version does not have the new locking device. First question, how rare are these pieces and second what should I expect to pay for one in excellent condition no box?

    Thank you in advance?

I will buy anything without a lock. Who's selling it?

I believe I saw one recently at Imbert & Smithers that was around the $650 mark, and in OK shape. Had hogue rubber monogrips I think, too.

Any 3" N-frame is pretty rare in California, and even rarer (it would seem) in the Bay Area. If it's in the neighborhood of $600, and you want a .45 ACP revolver, I'd jump on it. Even if you hate it, someone else *will* buy it from you.

      cheers,
      Neill

Is it like the SS number in this picture?

625-3 introduced in 1990. Change from -2 is longer cyliner notches.

Mine is in 45 Long Colt.

It might be a Lew Horton gun. Lew Horton some years back and might still contract S&W to make a run of guns he thought might sell. The 3" one I've seen was a LH gun.

Good luck and a nice find
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

BUY IT!!! I would love to find a gun like this. I hardly ever find sweet deals like that. Go now and get it.

Yes, just like it. They want 750 for it. I think it to be a little steep. But it is a 3 incher!
