    FNP 40

I keep hearing good things about this line, and originally I planned on getting the 9mm version of it. I ended up getting my German Sig instead, and I plan on getting a .40 Sig Pro, but the more I look, I may end up getting the Sig and one of these FNP's . I keep hearing mixed things about the actually mag well flexing or something that makes it at times, more difficult to get the magazine out? Is it a two piece barrel or one? I also heard some people were getting a bulge in the steel only slightly after the break in period near the FN symbol or caliber? I heard this was only happening on the .40 models which is what I'm looking at.

The bulge in the steel is more of a ding, right under the "P". It's from the takedown lever canting during recoil. Not a mechanical issue, just cosmetic. I haven't noticed any flexing of the mag well with mine. I believe it is a one-piece barrel, but haven't really payed much attention.

Thanks! Yea I dont mean that the bulge or ding affects the reliability but I heard this only happened with the .40 version from reports. I could live with it if it shows up. Good to hear no flexing.
