    Sig Nitron Finish

Can a older p226 (1990 I believe) be refinished with nitron by sig? It's sounding like they do offer it even for a pistol that far back but I have the older type of slide. Do you guys recommend the finish? My current one has some scratches from when it was a duty gun and would love the look of it refinished. I'd rather not have the warranty voided unless Sig just wont do it to such an old pistol.

SIG currently refinishes slides only-- I think it's around $100. I have the nitron on my P226 and really like it.

Your 1990 SIG P226 (carbon steel slide) will be re-blued. Nitron treatment is only for milled slides only.

I found it was an 89 after calling! And good news to hear aca79, thanks! Thought this thread died months ago. 100 bucks aint that bad to be honest. Do I just ship them the slide? I hope the work time doesn't take too long...
