    Walther P99

I can't even find Walther on the list of blessed firearms allowed to be sold in CA......Does walther have a parent company or am I just blind?

I haven't even started DROS on my P6 yet and I'm already looking at my next pistol.

edit: Just found the P99 in the deactivated list. Bummer. But Walther as a company is not listed in the manufacturer drop down box on the roster. Are any walthers certified for sale in CA???

Holy crap, no Walthers listed at all on the list. Bummer, I really wanted a P99.

Seems like yesterday they were on there.

Wait a minute, It's not even listed on the recently removed list, unless it expired in early July.

I was actually looking at getting one of those, I thought it was legal as long as you are shipped the 10 round mags?

Walther has a deal with Smith & Wesson. Smith sells the "P99" under the name SW99. Yes they are still legal for sale as there are two in our shop now.
            Please, calm down.

I think there might be something wrong with the site. Everything after the letter S has disappeared. I can't understand why Walther would let all of their products expire:
              P22CA
              PPK
              PPK/S
              P99

And where are the Taurus models?

None are listed in the recently de-certified list either. Might just be missing temporarily for updated expiration dates.

Think they are still updating the site. I tried accessing it yesterday but it wouldn't load.

There are cosmetic differences between the SW99 and the P99.

IIRC When they first came out, the US made Smith & Wesson's had reliability issues compared to their Austrian made counterparts. No idea if that's still the case.

well they are both sweet looking guns. I want one or two.

So DOJ is updating their website? I noticed that nothing was on the list past Ruger.

My hunch is our beloved CA DOJ BOF is updating the site.
                          I don't see the P99 as de-certified...

I looked at the Walther listings last week and most, if not all, were valid into 2008.

Late Sat night, I looked at the list and it was completely down, apparently being updated. Today, the list was back, but stopping at the S's with Sturm, Ruger & Co.

Will have to see what's loaded come Monday morning, and compare as now it says 1151 models in the database.
