M&P 9c vs. SR 9c..

Hello all,

I'm trying to decided between a Smith M&P 9c or a Ruger SR 9c.
Does anyone knows I could rent the Ruger from a range to try it out? I already tested the Smith's and it's very nice.

Any thoughts for these two 9's. Thanks.

I have the Ruger SR9c and its a great little gun. I also have a SR9 and I was surprised when I shot the compact that the recoil was just about the same. I also was surprised that even though I've had the fullsize for 2 years longer I shoot better groups with the compact. Sorry I can't compare it to the Smith because I have not shot it. whats you location if you close to me you can try mine. Redhemi

Both guns are nice and reliable, I would buy whichever have a better deal.

Like Redhemi, I have found the Ruger SR9c very easy to shoot accurately, much more accurately than I normally shoot such a short sight radius pistol.

I have not shot the compact M&P, but judging from all the positive feedback on that product line, I think speedpower's post is probably great advice.

Go with the one you can buy best as you will likely be pleased with either.
