Personally I stick with practice makes perfect, I'm not sure how long your son has had issues with racking his G19, but I'm sure if he continues to work on it, he'll get it in a relatively short time. If this has been an extended period of time that he's been practicing, then I would absolutely invest the $50 to get him going. You know your son better than any of us and you should have a better idea on how quickly he picks things up. Goodluck and let us know if you purchase one and how it worked out.
