    Question about "The List"

    Hello,

So I'm thinking about adding a revolver to my collection maybe in a few months. I'm looking at getting a Taurus model 66, stainless with a 4" barrel. My question is, on the PRK's list, it only shows the 6" SS model, I was almost sure that I could still legally buy the 4" gun, but when I went into the gun store to get a price, he said he couldn't order the gun because that specific gun was not on the list, and he could only order the 6" gun for me. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the wording on the list, but I thought if it was the same model, but with slight modifications to the one on the approved list, you were good to go?

P.S. What are your guys' opinions on the Taurus 66?

Well, the 6" is on the list, but the 4" is NOT on the list, but they're the same gun, isn't that how it works??

If the guns have only minor differences, the manufacturer can pay to add another model to the roster without having to test it. But it still needs to be on the roster.
An example would be the Rossi 461 and 462. They're snub .357 revolvers. The only difference is the finish, 461 is blued, 462 is stainless. Rossi didn't pay, so the 462 is not on the roster.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
