Well I was planning on waiting longer to make a purchase, but my sister's car was stolen this morning so I decided to make the plunge. I ordered it this afternoon and it should be here in two weeks. I paid $711.49 including everything. What does everyone think on the price?

"including everything"
Does "everything" include $150 worth of ammo and accessories?Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Everything includes the taxes and DROS. I would have much rather bought used and shipped it in, but hell the FFL's wanted $120 for the tranfer, so I figured that I should go ahead and buy new. I'm assuming it must be the area (Fresno)?Aut viam inveniam aut faciamComment

Ouch, I hope you at least got a courtesy reach-around for that price
Too late to cry over spilt milk. You got a great gun, shoot it often and enjoy it.Comment

Yeah, that's a bit pricey. What does your sister's vehicle have to do with your impulse to buy a Glock? If you caught a thief in the act and you pulled a gun on them in this state, you would be the one arrested. Unless they have broken into your home and you are "in fear for your life", you don't have much legal ground to stand on if you bring a firearm to a non-violent crime. Not that I agree with it, but that is how the laws work in this sick state.Comment

Did my research but I'm thinking it's Fresno, all Glock 22s that I found here were $620 plus. Next time I'll ask for a courtesy spit for free.Aut viam inveniam aut faciamComment

Well while reporting the stolen car we found out that there has been 6 break-ins in our neighborhood since Christmas, but this buy wasn't an impulse buy I've been saving for awhile now.Aut viam inveniam aut faciamComment

You could have drove down to Sac. I bought a G19 and a G17 from Going Quiet, and even after the FFL fees it was cheaper than buying it in the stores. Both guns were $450, FFL fee was $60, that puts each gun at $510, which is nowhere near what it would be if I bought it at the store.
Oh well, lesson learned. Next time you might look into different FFL....Comment

Actually he would have had to drive UP to Sac, and it would be an 8 hour day that he would have to do twice...not to mention the fuel. Trust me, I'm not against traveling for something I want, but going twice is a real deal breaker. You could have drove down to Sac. But I agree with your point, there should be many shops closer to him for a normal price. In my area he could have gotten one for $495 plus taxes, DROS, etc, and it would only be a half day trip twice. My house, garages, and business protected by ADT alarms.
Just putting it out there..

Your in Fresno and you don't go to PRK?
They have Gen 4's in stock. Even if you got something from gunbroker, there not going to charge you $120.Comment
