Whatever you do, don't get a S&W Sigma.

You can get a Sig SP2022 in .40 on sale right now.

Outside of that, go to the range and rent some guns! Glocks are awesome for many reasons, but they just don't work for some people. HK's are awesome, but they cost a bit more. FN makes a nice handgun as well.

Bottom line, go rent some guns, nothing can replace trigger time when deciding on a firearm.

Get your hands on ALL the available 40S&W guns you can rent/borrow and shoot them.

Find the one that gives you the most comfort and best natural point of aim and buy it.

Then train like mad with that same firearm and be happy.

Beretta PX4 was my first .40 and I still like it quite a lot.

I think the 96D is also a great choice.

I shot the M&P40 and M&P40c last weekend and was impressed. I would suggest looking into those. The suggestion for the CZ75 is also a good one, they are one of my all time favorites. Good luck!
