Kahr P380

The Kahr website indicates that the CA legal P380's are being shipped. Has anyone seen or bought one?

Yup...seen one @ The Field Time Sports & Guns in Westminster zip 92683...very nice looking and fits perfectly inside my smallish hand...I think the price was 700ish...Just this morning 1/16/2011

Kahr's are nice (I have a PM9) but, they are overpriced. Just think that for the price of one Kahr P380 you could have two Ruger LCP's.

While the P380 was a bit more than an LCP, I like the P380 over the LCP for various reasons, and was definitely not the price of 2 LCPs.

I don't think that the Ruger LCP's are CA legal.

my father picked one up a month or so ago. 2 weeks later i took my wife looking for a light gun to jog with and she picked the p380 for size weight advantages. i ve shot twice with my dad and weve run over 400 rounds through his. my wife and i put another 400 through hers (we each shot 200)
each gun experienced some ftfs with amer eagle ammo. usually one every magazine or two. reset striker then bang. outside of the one specific brand there have been no other issues during break in or since. we ran 50 rounds of remington ball first and all went bang. rounds 51-100 were amer eagle. 101-200 win white box with no issues. each gun has shot 200 plus trouble free rounds since break in which is by far my main concern. we shot it next to a walther ppks that my dad picked up and was quite surprised that the p380 was so much more pleasant to shoot. it really soaks up recoil well. tight guns, nice fit expensive but oh well.

they aren't. But you can buy LCPs that are set up in roster-exempt single-shot config long enough to be DROSed.

I was in the market for a .380. I liked the Kahr, but it was too expensive for me. I just ended up picking up an LCP today. I still prefer the Kahr, but my budget didn't permit. I'll use the extra money to purchase the expensive .380 ammo

I have the off-roster version of the P380 as well. Its been very reliable and easy to pocket carry for me.

I also have a Ruger LCP, but I haven't shot it yet; a friend wanted to sell his n.i.b. LCP for a reasonable price so I picked it up. Saving it in case I can get my better half interested in a pistol someday vs her revolver for ccw.
