    Glock issue, please help

So I was shooting a glock 26, that I recently aquired, last night.
It's a couple years old with factory night sights, the only thing, or so i was told that was not stock was the extended mag release.

The issue is that on 2 rounds of reloads (out of 50) from my range the first strike didn't ignite the cartridge, however when I put the bullet in again and tried it it fired. It also did this once with a PMC factory round.

What's the problem and how do I fix remedy it?
I don't know what exactly a light strike would look like, but I'm guessing this could be the issue. I could see that the primer had been struck.

Detail strip the slide and clean it (DO NOT USE ANY GUN OIL)

They both seemed flush with the back of the round. I'll make sure to really check that out next time. I've never had any issues like this with my Glock 17, both with this ranges reloads or PMC, and it seems odd that 3 out 100 did this.

Maybe the primer wasn't seated enough and the firing pin pushed it in on the first attempt.

Since it is used and you don't know how many rounds have been fired, I would change out the firing pin spring and cups and the recoil spring. Good insurance for about $20

There is a huge different between detail strip and field strip. Since you bought it used, i have a feeling there is carbon/oil inside the the slide. Take the slide completely apart and wipe everything down.

Take the slide off and shake it. If you don't hear the striker rattling around inside, it may be gunked up enough to be slowing down the striker. If the previous owner evr oiled down in there, it will collect alot of crud. Have it cleaned out, and leave it totally dry.

You are getting light primer strikes. Common problem when striker spring is changed to lower poundage.
Previous owner could have changed factory striker & spring to a lighter & lower poundage. To get a better trigger pull.
Change it back to factory. And this should fix your problems.

Disassemble the slide, and make sure the striker channel should be free of oil.

I have a Glock 19, and I once put some Weapon Shield CLP in there, thinking it couldn't hurt and might help trigger pull.

It did not help the trigger pull, and I was getting light primer strikes once every 20 or so rounds.

I disassembled the slide again, soaked away the excess lubricant, I might have even rinsed it dry with brake cleaner, I can't remember.

I haven't had a light primer strike since.

I've had the same using PMC ammo.

With reloads it was most likely a slightly high primer, with new ammo, most likely there are brass flakes on the spot face where the striker impacts. Just holding the striker back a bit will cause this. Pop the top off, pull the inspection plate, and remove the striker. Clean out the spot face with those long q tips and blow it out with air. Then you might as well change the striker spring. If the new spring is longer than the old one, that is usually the cause. Wolff makes extra power springs.

Not all Glock strikers rattle. My G24C, G17L and Lone Wolff long slide don't rattle at all, but they run fine. All of my G17's sound like a can of marbles, and they run fine.
