1911 recoil spring???

Hi,
Does it make any difference which end goes in first ( finish rounded end as opposed the the end-hanging-out side)?

Yes! Closed end goes on first (toward the rear), open end toward the muzzle.

In general, on any semi-auto pistol, the smaller opening (if there's any difference) goes on first.

Closed end should slip over spring guide.

i've shot it both ways, but like everyone says, closed en in first.
