The real big question is 'Will it get on the approved list?'

The only thing I don't like about the new variant Walthers is that the mag release is just too damn big... on that, since it's designed for concealed carry would especially be a concern...

          However... yeah, that looks SWEET!

Nice to have but don't really need it because I already got the XDs, Glocks that fills that niche...

            Looks alright to me.
            Thanks, Ernie

This gun looks like hybrid of Glock and Steyr M-A1... Don't like either one of them anyway.

If it as slim as it looks I definately want one. As much as I like the baby Glocks they are a bit too bulky for their intended role.

I like it. I'm hoping that the 40S&W version (6 shot) has similar dimensions.

I'm looking for a compact so this interests me.

                      Thanks, I'll pass.

I don't like to "go ugly early". (orig. reference: picking up chicks at a bar at 11pm instead of 2AM closing time.)

I'm thinking it'll be a bit pricier than a microGlock or compact S&W M&P and not appreciably of a different (reduced) size.

The last Walther P99 I shot made a Glock trigger look like a match trigger.

                        Bill,

Did you just come home from a bar which would explain why you have 2 same consecutive posts???
                        Thanks, Ernie

Sh*t happens - early inadvertent exit and re-edit led to two duped posts, sorry.

                            Suffered from premature evacuation?

In terms of hope for California certification, its manual states that there is option to have a magazine disconnect, though the ones being imported right now lack this (er, uh) feature. Also, it has two types of loaded chamber indicaters. Its extractor protrudes slightly, like the P99, and the upper-rear of the chamber has a small cut-out to make the the case of a chambered cartridge visible.
