I just read that Chicago has the highest rate of cops killed, and also have a strict no handgun policy. Boy, it seems they really got it figured out.

Washington DC as well...fortunately for the normal folk the Supreme Court has found both bans unconstitutional...unfortunately the cities are making it as difficult as possible to actually obtain a handgun. Chicago requires you to undergo at least 1 hour of range training, but bans shooting ranges outright. They even convinced a federal judge to go along with that one...

The rates don't match up very well. Chicago might not be the "worst" but I still would never live there.

If gun laws only effect honest people, why do this matter. A police office isn't restricted, yet they die more. So why would open gun laws stop this?

In a liberals mind they can not and will not believe these two places are filled with criminals...thats the problem. And we don't either. I am sorry, if you open up gun laws in Chicago..more criminals WILL have guns.

The second you say that, you are a racist because the high concentration of minorities in relation to murder rates doesn't matter.

Even if we got rid of all the gun laws and made Chicago like Phoenix, Chicago LEO would still face death more often then an Arizona LEO. You must first remove the criminal element BEFORE arming the populace when the populace is filled with criminals.

California is quickly following Chicago due to a relaxation in crime detection and shoveling prevention into the laws. The liberals are focusing on making things illegal and not stopping the illegal behavior.

Punish first, prevent later and don't mix the two.

How many ways can you say "Murder is illegal" before you arrest a murdered?

A professor of mine showed us six cases of clear accidental death, later turned into murder by redefining the meaning of murder by the community. Does the "murderer" then receives a slap on the wrist or the full extent of the law? You now have a melting pot within the laws. In an effort to win votes and appease a mob, we are destroying the rule of law. Then when a true murderer gets punished...what is his crime and how can you justify the extra punishment? Its a cycle that can't be stopped.

Who stays longer in federal prison:
1) A man who raped girl.
2) A man who sold a pound of heroin.
3) A man who shot and killed a store clerk during a robbery.

The drug dealer will stay in longer then the violent offenders. Why? Because, if I leave a gun where a child will find it and that child kills another person I AM A MURDERER...thats why a man who shoots a store clerk gets out of jail with less then 1/2 his sentence served...think about it. The same is true if my buddy kills the guy we robbed, or my buddy is killed by LEO during a robbery...I am a murderer.

Murder is nothing in our society. Average gang banger who kills another gang banger sees 4 years in jail. If that gang banger kills an Innocent person, as long the media is focuses on who Brad Pitt is dating, that gang banger will see maybe 7 years.

It isn't until a person kills twice in California...or the media gets involved that justice is really served. Until that time its a crime of inconvenience to the State.
