Question for those who have handled the new G21sf... How does the slimmer grip feel? How does it compare to the G17's grip for example? Contemplating on getting one... Thanks.

I couldn't really "feel" any difference..........but it's new and cool

it feels like a 45gap frame to me.

The top is a little smaller around. Otherwise it's identical. I could feel some difference. I have big hands and actually preferred the standard.

I just got back from the gun store and finally held the Glock 21SF. The sales man says it feels like a G22...I agree; it felt a wee bit thicker, but a great improvement compared to the regular G21. They were selling it for $649...very tempting.

I have'nt handled too many Glocks, I'm not a big fan so I can't compare it to any. I handled it today at Metroshot, it felt very compfortable. It's advertised on the Metroshot website at $575. I would purchase it, but its far down the want list for me.

I handled one at River City a few weeks ago. It was much more comfortable than my second gen G-21. But, I don't think the grip is the same size as the G-17/22. Neat though!

I handled one at Raahauges, and was surprised at the difference 1.8" makes. It felt like a whole different gun!

make no mistake though- it is defintiely thicker than a 22/17 in feel.

I Personally Couldn't Feel Or See A Difference. The Main Thing About The 21sf Is Of Course The Picatinny Rail And A Few Internal Changes . You Can Not Use Any Of Your Older Mags, But New Mags Will Fit Older Models . It Will Not Fit In Any Standard Holsters With The New Picatinny Rail , But You Can Get It With The Old Glock Rail (glp721502). I Had A Few In Stock, But Sold Out In Days As Soon As They Hit The Ca List ( $550 + Fees ).

I have had an early G-21 for a good while, also having a .400 Corbon barrel conversion for it. I've always thought the grip was a bit fat, but still liked it better than the HK USP grips in .45 (even though that did not stop me from getting a USP Elite in .45). I assume everthing except the grip is the same, and that there would be no problem throwing the .400 Corbon barrel in it?

I'll have to take a look at one the next time I'm at the gun store, but unless I have a life-changing experience over the slimmer grip difference, it's not high on my list of purchases. I feel that way about most any Glocks at this point. My attention is too invested in other areas; to even consider any Glock, it would have to be a ridiculously great sale price.

I have 2 of the SFs but after "really" comparing it w/ my G21, it's not that different though I would say that the SF fits my hand a bit better.

I then sold one of my SFs.

Just to note, G21SF's grip is still bigger than a G17 frame... In my opinion, G21SF is in between a G21 and a G17.

An interesting thing about this gun regards the name. EVERYONE has corrected me, as I call it the GLOCK 21 Short Frame. EVERYONE is calling it the Slim Frame. Everyone except for GLOCK, that is.

I bought a GLOCK 21SF, but the materials that came with my gun do not elaborate on what the SF means. Well, GLOCK Autopistols magazine spells "slim" this way: "short".

I'm not trying to rant. Just commenting on some confusion over the name of this gun.
