.22 pistol with more recoil?

I currently have a S&W22A, I love the weapon for what it is, but the way it is designed is to minimize as much recoil as possible, it is a very top heavy which reduces the small recoil of .22 even smaller. So I am looking for another full size or compact pistol that fires .22 but with slightly more recoil. Any suggestions?

22lr doesn't have any recoil.... if you want something a little bit more.. maybe the walther p22

P22 was first thing came to my mind also, but please tell me more about HP-22A, any common problem with it? how reliable it is? and how much more recoil would you say compare to P22

22 just doesn't have much recoil. Why do you want more recoil?

Yeah, So true. That or something that doesn't have decent recoil system and fires .22 Mags??

Why not just move up to a 9mm if you wanted to experience more recoil compared to a .22?

I already have 9mm and 45acp, I just don't want to get poor shooting thats all

I have the HP22 and it is extremely reliable for the price point. Unfortunately I do not shoot very accurate with it with the stock barrel and thinking of purchasing the range kit.

As far as recoil... you will get some type of recoil but probably not what you are expecting because the .22 already gives little/no recoil to begin with.

I too have been stocking up on .22 especially with the new law come Feb 2011 and will probably shoot more of that until the law is repealed.

Other than that... I think Im going to give my .45, 9mm and 40S&W a break for a little bit...

If you WANT recoil out of a .22 the only thing I can think of would be something like a NAA mini revolver, even then for noticeable recoil you probaly need the .22 magnum cylinder in it.

Developing a flinch with inexpensive .22lr ammo can be a very expensive proposition in the long run.

If you really want more recoil from a .22lr pistol, then you'd have to spend some $$ and find a Colt Service Model Ace, or a 1911 plus a Colt 22lr conversion kit. They feature a floating chamber designed by "Carbine" Williams specifically designed to increase recoil to more approximate a .45acp for training purposes.

I have one (hp-22) It is one of my carrys .It so far has had no issues.. very accurate I find. shot over 1500 rds right out of the box ,swabed the barrel and it is now past 3k rounds.. practice with it once a week..

p22 is fun
so is a naa mini revolver, espeically with .22wmr hehe
