    IMPORTANT advice

for those of you that are married or have friends that are married and said people are shooting your steel framed guns, have them remove their wedding rings. i let my friend shoot about 200rds yesterday and this is the result:

my usp was not affected by the his ring, but my m9a1 was another story. he wears one of those titanium wedding bands so it's no suprise my frame got jacked up. granted, i don't care what my guns look like on the exterior. my guns are tools. but for those of you that baby your guns, heed my warning .

Wow that sucks! I stopped wearing my wedding ring 10 years ago, because of my line of work. Only wear it for special occasions that she wants to claim me.

Was your friend a left-handed shooter? If so, then yeah, I can see how a wedding ring could scratch up a steel-framed pistol.

Very good point. I don't let anyone else shoot my guns generally, but I have seen a fair amount of steel guns for sale that were ruined on the grips by people's rings.
Sorry about your Beretta, I would be absolutely livid if it happened to mine.

                        Sorry to hear that.

BTW, is that checkering standard on M9's? Or did you get that done?

Who says its only wedding rings? Any ring worn on the shooting hand will do that. I can see a ring on the non shooting hand with an incorrect two hand grip leaving a mark as well.

Leave the rings in drawer. Women wear jewelry.
