    PPT transfer questions

So, we decided on our next new pistol... A Beretta 90-2, only to find out itz not on the California Approved Handgun list. Dad settled and purchased a different pistol. Come to find out an old co-worker in Arizona may have one and may be willing to let it go.

Can our FFL accept and transfer an out of state pistol to us if it isn't on the 'approved' list??

Anything else I should be on the lookout for?

No that cannot happen, when it is shipped to the FFL it is no longer a PPT and must be on the approved list. If you have a grandparent out of state though, you can use the gift exemption.
    Please, calm down.

Do grandparents work? I thought it had to be a parent.

No, the Penal Code allows direct transfers between grandparents and grandchildren and between parents and children. The transfer can go either way, i.e., from child to parent. The Family Code allows transfers between spouses.
