You might want to upgrade the barrel. Check out Kart barrels. You'll need to get it fitted by a gunsmith. Most 1911 parts will come slightly oversized and need to be fitted/filed down by a gunsmith. The idea is that you file down just enough so you get the perfect fit, which results in better accuracy.

What model is it - Government, Commander, Officers? The Mark IV series 80 is not the model number.

Buy a barrel for the specific model and caliber you have i.e. Government 5", Commander 4.5", Officers, 3.5", Defender 3"..etc.

Series 80's are nice guns but not as sought after as the pre series 70's (aka Commercial colts) and series 70's due the fact that some feel the trigger cannot be tuned due to the firing pin block.

For a replacement barrel you need to determine if the frame was relieved to accept a full ramped barrel or just a stocked barrel. I have used Barsto barrels in 1911's and they are great but it has been a decade since i have replaced a barrel so technology may have changed.

You need a new barrel to be fitted, they don't just drop in. If I were going to buy a new barrel, I'd have a smith fit a new barrel (Karts are good) and a match grade bushing.

In the photo it looks like the hammer has been bobbed, but it may just be my old eyes...

Why would the barrel of a 20 year old 1911 "need" to be replaced? The grips are not original ($25.00 to correct) and it does look like the hammer's been fiddled with - that could cost about $100.00 if a gunsmith has to do the work and replace/fit the thumb safety and hammer.

It looks otherwise OK.

I would buy a factory barrel and a National match bushing along with a Kuhnhausen book so I could fit it myself. It doesn't take many tools and it will be a great learning experience, just go slow and easy, you will get a great result. Brownells has a M1911 armor's kit and tools. The NM bushings are oversize, so you take a little metal off until you get a perfect fit to the barrel and slide. Some Machinists dye will tell you how well the rest of the barrel matches up and if it will need further fitting.

+1.... was this someone's home project gun perhaps? I'd be wondering what the internals look like. But outwardly it looks great other than the hammer spur being a little short.
