    Turners Special - SA XD .45 $499

The price looks about right, can anyone speak to how the .45 XD handles, shoots, etc?

I shot a rental at the range 3 years ago. I fell in love with it, first 3 rounds were in one hole. Pretty good for me, grip is very thin for a 13+ mag of 45acp. Im looking to buy one in the new few months. I like the service model, but full size isnt bad.

I have the XD 45. It fits my medium size hand much better than the Glock G21. The G21 is too big for my hand. I like the ergonomics on the XD 45. My biggest dislike on the XD is that the factory trigger sucks. The trigger travel is too long. I need to get a trigger job done on it. Other than the trigger, I like the XD 45 overall.

met a cop the other day who was carrying one. he said "its not the prettiest but sure shoots the best. .45 is a man's gun". ive shot the .9mm in the xd and i loved it so i figure the .45 will be magic also.

first 45 I shot and it was amazing!

Had a chance to rent one 2 weeks ago along with a glock 21, and an HK USP 45

The XD 45 was simply amazing, even for an abused rental gun. The recoil was softer than my Glock19 and the aim was on par with my glock that I have owned for 19 years. I was hitting the human silouette target at max range distance of 50ft with the majority in the 10 pt body zone (8 of 10 shots) and 10 of 10 shots in the head zone.

The Glock21 felt a bit bulky in my hand and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the USP. Different strokes...

The XD45 felt incredibly comfortable in my hand, even with leather shooting gloves and the recoil was noticeably softer than my 9mm and given it's price, highly recommended!

If you hurry, you can still qualify for the free mag and mag holster deal from Springfield Armory. 9 days left for over $100 of free gear!
