    Good sight for AR pistol

    Hi,

    picked up my first AR pistol, wanted suggestions for a red dot or holographic sight. Not to much into buffer tube cheek weld, it's a 7.62x39 with a little kick. prefer to hold it forward a little curious if any calgunners had luck with a red dot or eotech style site with good eye relief. just shooting paper and plinking.

    thanks

    red dot / eotech all have unlimited eye relieves.
    <$100 -> Primary Arms M3 clone/ Bushnell TRS-25
    <$200 -> Vortex StrikeFire/Vortex Sparc/Burris Fastfire
    ~$300 -> Eotech 512
    ~$400 -> Aimpoint Micro

      I had an Aimpoint then Burris FF II on mine and didn't like the narrow field of view and with the FFII I had to keep moving the gun to get the dot to show up since my gun does not have any iron sights line up to use as a reference. Now I've got Eotech on it and it's much easiser to pick up on the dots and shoot with both eyes open.

          Forgot to mention, also tried Trijicon RX01 which is also a good choice but I prefer using Eo.

            Why on earth do people insist on putting dot sights and such on AR pistols?? I mean who
            really wants to put one that close to one's face??

            AR pistols are "Sweepers" IMHO, and sights are not necessary.

            I'd put the dough towards a good Muzzle Brake.

              After some trial and error I settled on C-More Railway RDS on mine.
              C-More Systems 404: Not Found page. Built for speed, C-More Red Dot Sights will take your shooting ability to the next level. By using a single red dot as an aiming point, target acquisition is as simple as point and shoot.

                Beelzy, part of your post is factored in why I posted, this things spits out AK ammo and I believe a cheek weld might result in a black eye if shoot it enough, its got a lot of kick to have that close to my face. I was hoping a holo sight might be useful if held it say a foot forward of my brain housing group providing it offers good eye relief. The pistol is a PWS 7" diablo and has a sexy little muzzle break already.
