    XDM and Gen 4 Glocks

Do you think the xdm and Gen 4 glocks will ever get on the CA legal Roster list? When?

I know you can get them through out of state transfers and through leo's who decide to sell their gun but i'm talking about legal for the common person to go to the store and purchase.

You don't have to get them through out of state transfers or from an leo. The search button is magical. It will give you all your answers.

There's a place in the Bay Area where a "common person" can buy both in exempt form already... it's been covered at least twice a week.

You can get it through a singleshot conversion through Valkryie Arms in Milpitas. They add a longer barrel and lock a 0 capacity mag in place as a sled so that you have to feed a single round every shot. Once the firearm is in your possession, you can legally convert it back with the original parts that came with the firearm and return the parts used to make it a singleshot. The firearm will be factory original after that, not mixed and matched parts. This is the loophole around the roster and it is perfectly legal even when the firearm's serial number is looked up by an LEO. The conversion back to semi auto seems pretty straight forward. The barrel gets changed out as in a field strip and it looks as though a plate and screw is used on the top of the mag to keep it "locked" in place. All you need to do is unscrew it and you can release the mag. All thats needed is to put the original barrel back in and replace the magazine with yours. Valkryie will also block the magazine to limit it to a cali legal 10 count. If you have any other questions, PM me.

Thanks for the post. I always wondered what single shot meant and how you get around it

No Prob, even though everyone says to use the search button, none of those posts actually explain the process too well. All thats stated in those posts are, you can get a singleshot conversion which meant jack**** to me. It's the equivalent of asking for directions and being told "It's over there"

There is no loophole, the law is followed to the letter. We only transfer dimensionally compliant single shot pistols to non LEO's if that pistol is non rostered.

Sorry, my use of the word "loophole" is more hyperbolic and thrown around loosely when it shouldn't be.

I think we need a "sticky" regarding the XDM and the Gen4 Glock. 15 threads about the same thing in one week.

That's OK, I just hate that word. It implies we're breaking the law and we're not.

I have suggested a sticky regarding single shot exemptions.
