    Glock Steel Sights

I have read that Glocks commonly come with plastic sights, or that they come with night sights. My G31 has standard Glock sights, not night sights, but they are most definatly steel sights. They are original to the gun, and stamped with the Glock symbol on top of both front and rear sights. I haven't been able to find out much in any google or calguns searches, I'm just wondering if this is common or not ?

Stock un-upgraded Glocks in general come with plastic sights. Most aftermarket night sights are made of steel. I own a few Glocks and thats been my personal experience.

Glocks do come with the option of steel stock sights but I think the default is plastic. Not sure what will happen now that Glocks won't be avail w/ nightsights. Factory plastic and metal stock sights are also avail aftermarket:

Yup, They come in either FS (Plastic Fixed Sights) or SFS (Steel Fixed Sights). When I got my G22 I opted for the SFS and was about $20 more.

I would of got the plastic sights if I already had night sights waiting.
