UGHHH prison wait started today...

Started my wait for my RIA tactical. I'm a glock guy but I have been reading really good reviews of the RIA 1911's and wanted to try without spending to much so I traded into a ria tactical. I have shot a 1911 before but it was a springfield GI and I shot it surprisingly well. If it shoots well who knows it might become my new nightstand gun and heck I'll even shoot some IDPA with it . I alsostarted the waiting period today and for some reason my pick up date is the 31st ? Is there a longer wait for pistols now?

Maybe Xmas day doesn't count  towards the cooling period

maybe your gun store is closed til then? its ten, 24hr periods. regardless of what they write on your paperwork, you should legally be able to go in there 240 hours after your dros timestamp, and pick up your handgun... unless, of course, theyre closed. then you would be "breaking and entering."

I highly doubt they will be closed on the 29th. I will call and ask but I don't want a un necessary wait 10 days is already BS haha.

Actually my nightstand gun has been a glock 17 for about 3 years and probably will continue to be haha. I would feel un easy replacing it with anything else (it would have to prove it's self to me like my glock did by shooting thousands of trouble free rounds) However I'm not close minded so we will see what happens!

I just dros'd my milled bulgy 74 today and I pick it up on the 29th

I just called the gun store today and asked what was up with the BS waiting period and they told me they must have just wrote it down wrong. So I get to pick it up on the 29th , I can't wait!

I feel your pain, I pick up my XD9 4" on the 29th as well.

I feel your pain too. I ordered my cz compact on 12/2 and I finally get to pick it up on the 24th. Merry Christmas to me. Mark

Not too high-jack but any idea if Bullseye San Rafael open on the 1st for gun pickups?
