Can I but a STI pistol from a friend in Nevada & have it transfered to me here?

No you cannot, it would have to be on the roster if you are going to bring it in or find somewhere to transfer it in a single shot status.

Depending on your location, in NorCal, I believe Valkyre Arms in Milipitas and in sorta SoCal PRK in Fresno I believe both do single shot conversions.

ANd +1000 for PRK. They can hook the OP up with a single shot transfer. Those guys kick ***. However, I'm sure it will cost a bit more than a standard interstate transfer.

But it's for a STI so I'm sure it's worth it. It's pretty pricey so if you got the $$$ like that then the transfer fee shouldn't matter that much or if you got it from a friend for cheap then it's worth it anyways.

I agree 100%. As well, I'm sure the fee won't be too hefty. PRK takes care of their customers.

PPT = Private party transfer between two CA residents facilitated by a CA FFL dealer.


Not as a PPT.
Friend will have to configure it as a single-shot pistol and have it shipped to a CA FFL dealer, where you will DROS/4473 it & wait 10 days.
Since, it is not a PPT, the CA FFL dealer can legally charge you any amount of $$$ to perform the transfer.
