    Glock 19 smooth trigger install

Did some searching but wanted to ask you guys if there's anything I should be "extra" careful with while doing the install. Gun is brand new and I've yet to order the part. Thanks!

Ive decided not to alter the trigger weight as it will be my primary HD pistol. Changing to a smooth trigger vs the factory "ribbed" trigger should be gtg in any civil case right?

I switched out my stock trigger to a Glockworx fulcrum trigger. It's super light and super smooth. I still use the gun as my main carry gun. As long as you don't pull the trigger, it won't go off. No issue of lighter triggers on glocks going off because of being dropped or bumped as it's not fully "cocked" If your trigger catches on something, I doubt a 2lb difference will prevent the gun from going bang.

Not so sure about the legal ramifications though.

Thanks for the input. If I decide on a lighter pull I will definitely look into that route.

Installation is simple. Just make sure to take note of how the trigger spring is installed (which end of the "S" hook at each end is pointing) before taking it apart. The "rotate and twist" motion is a little weird the first time, so just be careful not to force anything.

i have Scherer 3.5# G19/23 connector in my parts bin if you decide to lighten your trigger.
Swapping connector is a piece of cake.

I did the install myself and it was fine. There's several videos on YouTube that I watched while doing it. You'll love the smooth trigger. Keep the trigger pull stock if this is a HD weapon.

If you have the coin, Vanek makes one of the best trigger sets on the market for Glock owners.

It's pretty straight forward. Find a good Youtube video detailing how to do it and follow it exactly. Glocks are pretty easy to take apart and reassemble. One tricky part could be pushing the thick trigger pin out. It won't want to come out sometimes if you push it on one side with a punch but wiggling the slide stop up and down while pushing the trigger pin out will let it pop out easily.

What Glock model do you have?

I installed a G22 stock smooth trigger on my G23 and G27. Glad I did it. Just remove and replace. That's it.

G19. Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I'll order the smooth trigger tomorrow from somewhere and also a 3.5 Connector just to see how it feels. I will probably buy a second 19 for the wife and would keep 1 trigger pull stock for hd and a light trigger for fun/plinking etc.
