HELP with Ghost Rocket trigger kit *glock*

a couple weeks ago, i got the rocket trigger kit for my glock 23, which includes the 3.5lb connector, firing pin spring, and safety spring. i believe the springs are all Wolff products, with the connector coming from Rocket. i installed the connector first and ran a couple hundred rounds through the pistol. everything worked as advertised with no gun related failures.

yesterday i installed the rest of the kit, today i hit the range. shooting 3 rounds per mag at a time, i ran probably 25 rounds through the gun without a hiccup. then the slide failed to lock back with an empty magazine. i ran a few more magazines through it with no problems. then it started doing it every magazine. i decided there was no reason to continue, and called it a day.

also, the magazines are fresh rebuilds, just a month old or so. i do not recall any issues with them prior to today. i saw no troubleshooting information on the Ghost website related to this issue, only failure to fire stuff.

any thoughts, advice, or opinions would be appreciated. thanks!!

this happens pretty often if you accidentally install the slide stop spring upside-down. easy to check, and doesn't cause damage other than not locking back. try that.

One of the most common problems occur when you install the upper pin after installing the slide release. The proper way is to slide it in place before installation of the slide release.

            A question

It's not the magazines..it's most likely the spring on the Slide Catch Release.

A magazine issue would be on one mag, not all of them at once.

What happens when you take the weapon apart sometime it gets put back together in the wrong order. Usually the problem is related to the order you
re-installed the two front pins. The Spring gets hung up underneath the pin.

Take the two front pins out again, remove the slide catch. re-insert top pin, then slide catch, then bottom pin that holds catch.

What happens is people assemble the pins In the wrong order. Take a minute to look. In anycase check the spring tension on the slide catch.

alrighty, i think that was probably the issue. i'll go back to the range tomorrow and report back.

EDIT: taking a second look at it, i'm pretty sure i didn't screw up the slide release. if i had wouldn't it have cause a problem from the magazine i ran through it?

                  Slide stop spring.

Make sure the spring is lined up properly on the pin.

I know the bottom pin will go in either way, is the top pin the same?
