I've never had a problem with an M9 and neither has my dad when he was in the military.

I have one thing to say about the m9/92fs:
Barrel bushing! The fact that the barrel flops around inside the stock slide makes the pistol inherently innaccurate. Especially when compared to a 1911 or even a Glock.
Other than that, I like my 92fs.Comment

This is true of some but far from all servicemen, for the most part your talking junior enlisted here.I hate this statement. Anyone in the military hates everything issued to them because it is a job, not going to the range and having fun, including side SAPIs, eye protection, hearing protection etc... I didn't realize how great of a weapon the M9 was until I was out, all I knew while I was in is that I never witnessed, nor experienced, any malfunctions with them.
I for one, loved every piece of armor I could get my hands on, and so did just about anyone else who had actually been in contact. except the nut plate...
Ill balance your statement of endorsement for the 92 with this-I never, ever witnessed or experienced an M9 that worked 100%.Comment

Inaccurate? I am not bashing but I think that may be shooter induced. I have shot MANY Beretta pistols for MANY years and ALL have been more than accurate. I had a 9mm 1911 with an STI Barrel that shot about the same as my 92. I can hit clay pigeons at 25/50 yds routinely with any of the 92s I have shot.
As for a bushing or lack of one, glock, sig, cz, S&W M&P, etc do just fine without one. The Six X series are AMAZINGLY accurate and they do not have a bushing.
The reason is that the lockup is off the breech where the 1911 needs a bushing or a bull barrel fit to the slide for complete lockup per design"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Ben FranklinComment

I love the 92fs. Don't own one but have shot one before. It is amazingly fun to shoot. Very accurate and is pretty sexy. I love trolling threads. Makes things fun haha!Comment

Haha, ya "every piece of armor"!!!! If by "junior enlisted" you mean the grunts, then yes I agree with you. I'm sure all the brass or those with rockers standing COC watch loved the gear. The ones pounding ground everyday certainly resent the extra weight (whether that is smart or not is irrelevent) or wearing their Wiley X's that they are so scratched they can't even see out of anymore..This is true of some but far from all servicemen, for the most part your talking junior enlisted here.

When I come out of the house, I thank Him, light up a cigarette and move on to the next onesigpicComment
