AR Pistol Question

I couldn't find it in a search so,

Are AR pistols required to have their muzzle device pinned?

(4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.

Or are they not required to have them pinned since they are non-detach mag?

Fixed mag = evil features ok. Same reason why you on an AR pistol you can have the magazine outside of the pistol grip.
