I own alot of the XD models but a 357sig reason being was 40s&w Ammo was much easy to find!

It says springfield XD .357, all of the websites I go to don't list an XD...it's other models.

Haha I like how you asked after you bought it.

Only complaint I could think of would be ammo availability, but just get a conversion barrel like someone else said and you should be good to go.

OP, congrats on the new XD

The XD 357 was my first choice based on features, but I was more accurate with a Glock so I went with a G31. I absolutely love the 357 sig, it's an impressive round. I have never had a problem finding ammo, but I normally stock up at gun shows. You can find ammo for around $20 a box pretty easy, the last show I went to, I paid $19 a box for Fiocchi. I have also seen online sale prices as low as $15 a box. It seems cheaper than 45, and on-par with 40, but it's a ton of fun to shoot.
