ammo sales

[brantly04]

I have close to 500 rounds of .40 and want to sell it. My question is, can i ship it? Are there any restrictions?

[joelogic]

Yes
Common carrier, ie fedex and ups
Yes, must mark box ORM-D small arms cartridges.

[brantly04]

USPS? Can i hand write ORM-D on the box, or does it have to be a sticker?

[joelogic]

Nope

[Joe]

Cant do usps

[brantly04]

but UPS, Fedex, etc...right? Can I write it on or does it have to be a sticker? (ORM-D)

It's not that simple to ship ORM-D, Before shipping ORM-D, you have to be qualified in HazMat products, you have to attend a class to be certified.

[joelogic]

Hazmat is not ORM-D. Look it up. Fedex and UPS make no mention of special requirements for the shipper to ship ORM-D. Hair spray ships ORM-D.
Do you pay a hazmat fee when you have ammo delivered?

You can just write on it.

Then go ahead and try to ship ammo through UPS or FEDEX, let us see if they accept it

I've shipped it through UPS. I printed my own ORM-D sticker and put it on the box. Maybe you are confusing ammo with primers and powder. Mark

I know through experience. Shipping ammo is nothing new. FYI Primed brass ships ORM-D as well.

Looks more "official" with these.
