    Sig P226 range report

So I finally had a chance to go shoot my sig p226 dak in 9mm, and I thought I would write a range report for all you guys who asked for it. Since it was raining yesterday I decided to go to the gun room in Elk grove/ Sacramento usually I would go to sac valley shooting center but I didn't want to shoot in the rain. So with all that said lets jump into the reports from the range I was shooting federal 115gr fmj 9mm from Walmart. And it was great! The trigger on the gun is great a little long but that is all I can say that is bad about it. the trigger had a clean and crisp break at right around 6lbs. most people said I would hate the trigger and also said it would be a 13lbs. trigger pull every time let me tell you that was not the case. over all if I did my part the gun preformed great too. the only issue I had was with the slide lock, which was my fault, my thumb kept wanting to sit on top of the slide release and when I would shoot the last round the slide would cycle forward instead of locking back on the last shot. no big deal to me because I was loading 5 rounds at a time and counting my shots.I shot a total of 100 rounds total and all shots were at the 10 yard line. All in all I would say I love the gun and it shoots way better than me lol.
now for what you all came for the range photos.

my lethal weapon shot lol (if you have seen the movie you know what I am talking about. if you haven't seen the movie shame on you!)

That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Most people don't know what the DAK trigger is or else they'd never say it was going to be 13 pounds. I owned one and shot it in a Bruce Gray class before I decided that I hate it, sold it soon after.
My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.

why did you hate it? i love it and other than it being a long pull i think it is a great trigger. to each his own i guess. i think when people hear double action only they automatically write it off without trying it. you tried it and decided it wasnt for you i can respect that.

The Double Action Kellerman has a long smooth pull with a heavier reset point which makes no sense to me. I guess people who like revolvers and/or Sig's with a lighter DAO system may like it, I do not and nobody in that class did either

          understandable
i chose the dak because i wanted a consistent trigger pull every time and the double action is only a pound heavier than the single action on the regular sa/ da 226 sig i figured that for only a pound more of trigger pull it was worth it to have the same consistent pull every time
like i said to each his own

I dont like DAK either. Made mostly for carrying really. I just don't see the real purpose of having two different types of trigger sets on a pistol..thats just too much stuff going on aside from the extended trigger pull. Myself, I have lots of pistols...in order to get very familiar to the DAK, I would have to use only that pistol extensively for shooting in order to get used to two different functions. I would think firing my other pistols, which are all DA/SA and a few SAO, would throw a huge monkey wrench in my muscle memory for the DAK if my life ever depended on it.

i dont use the first reset point i find i naturally go to the second (lighter) reset point it makes for a longer return but i am cool with it
