Which light for a Sig P229R?

What weapon light do you guys recommend for a Sig 229R? Will an Insight X2 fit on the sig's rail?

I have a X200 on my P220 Carry, which is about the same length as the P229R.

i like the x200a/b a lot. but i just can't justify that much for a light, which, in my opinion, really isn't worth even half that much. and yes, i have used it enough to be able to say that.

further, the x200a/b is still kind of bulky.

i'm looking real hard at the x2 insight.

the problem is the same as the OP's though. I don't know if it will fit a 229r raile.

A Steamlight TLR-1 works nicely on it.

I have the Streamlight TLR-1 on my Glock 23. I think its brighter than the Surefire.

TLR-2 if you want the lazey beam, otherwise get the TLR-1. Great light, plus its mount is adjustable, to accept out of spec rails.

Surefire M4 with Combat Bezel in your other hand.

                    Then you're holding two weapons.

I have a VERY good handheld flash light - a custom built 900lumen lightsaber.

however, i need something rail mounted for this particular application.

for those of you who prefer the cross hold, i have two things to say.

                      1. it's not as easy as it looks. ihave practiced it for years and i can say this with confidence. the heavier your flashlight the harder it is. even with a surefire e2d it is not the easiest.

                      2. different applications require different tools. in this particular defensive application i need a light mounted so that i have the second hand free.

things you cannot do easily when using the crosshold:

                      1. open doors
                      2. direct people, animals
                      3. call for help
