No note is needed.
12078(d)(2) PC specifies the lending must be infrequent, limited to a 30 day period, and between parties known to each other.
The lendee must also be holder of a valid HSC card. [One should ensure it doesn't expire during the lending period.] It also goes without saying he can't be a 'prohibited person' (wifebeater, felon, violent misdemeanant, etc.)
Also, since such a lent gun is not DROSed to lendee, if he were popped for (illegal, non-permitted) CCW the likely charge would be a felony and not a misdemeanor.
Assault weapons cannot be 'lent' as above, and 'lending' of AWs means use by another party under immediate presence/supervision of registered AW owner.
