It is HIGHLY recommended that you dont shoot unplated/unjacketed lead out of a Glock. Buy a Sig or a Beretta 92. My beretta shot everything from the crappiest RNL reloads to +p+ HP.

I own 2 guns that absolutely positively feed everything I load them with 100% of the time without a single failure in over 20 years. Reloads, wadcutters, JHP's, SJHP's, light loads, heavy loads, Russian made, American made, whatever. When I say everything, I mean everything. Unfortunately, neither gun will satisfy the OP.
Both guns are Ruger revolvers. One is a GP100 in .357 mag, the other is a Speed Six in .38 special.

+1 on this!Another handgun that is a freak of nature is the ruger P89. Those things are rattle traps that keep going and going and going. Like the old 1982 toyota pickup, went 280,000 miles and blew a head gasket. Replaced that and it ran like a top again. The P89 is one that will keep running and need next to nothing for maintenance.
Look at the P89
P90
P95
P345d
All fantastic guns that will keep going reliably for 20k rounds no issues whatsoever. They're truly a work horse.
Just missed a deal by about 15 minutes at Turners Norwalk for a SS P89 DC for $250! Did a member snag this up?sigpicHandguns/Shotguns/RiflesComment

Pretty much agree with this. Last week I fired a Glock at the range and it had constant feeding and ejecting issues.. but I'm not gonna blame Glock for that. The gun was simply ill-maintained (was a rental). I've had good and bad experiences with all makes of guns. Only gun I've never experienced any problems with are revolvers, but my experiences with them are limited to Rugers and S&Ws and I know even these can have issues. Most modern pistols, especially the polymer ones will feed 9mm FMJ or JHP flawlessly. Whatever problems one person might experience with his gun might just be a problem with that particular gun, not the model, or the brand. I think what's more important than just picking out brands is trying out the guns and looking for shooting characteristics rather than just going by name. Find out which gun fits your hand the best, find out which you can handle the recoil best with, find out which you think looks better, because in the end, honestly I'm pretty sure a M&P, a XD, a CZ75, a Beretta, or a Glock will serve you and many others just as well as one another.Comment

The problem with wheel guns in 9mm is because the rim of the brass it isn't made for revolvers, you need them put in moonclips for them function properly (ie, bullet will be held in place properly in the cylinder and will not have extraction issues). A casual range session can get very tedious constantly loading up the moonclips which aren't exactly the most durable (especially the flimsy ones Taurus has). This is of course what I've gathered from talking to other people who owned them as I was once doing research on getting a 9mm revolver as well.
The Medusa may be the exception to this case but goodluck on finding one at a good price.Last edited by gorenut; 12-04-2010, 1:25 PM.Comment

Ruger P89, hands down. I have thousands of rounds through mine with exactly zero hiccups. reloads (purchased and my own), HP defense ammo, HP practice ammo, standard ball, frangible, dirty wolf, some no name stuff.......
Every single round that has gone into that gun has been reliably fed, fired, and extracted flawlessly.Comment

I'm surprised that there aren't more XD posts in this thread. XD's are as picky as glocks when it comes to ammo and they don't use that weird ploy rifling so lead bullets are fine. Plus they're cheap. I have a pretty old XD (gen 1 XD, right after the HS2000) that I abuse pretty good. It's been a great gun. I don't ever remember a jam.Chris
