    Where's the "compact" .45?!

OK, so I've decided I want to get a "compact" .45. I've owned several Glocks, and I love 'em. I currently own an M&P9, and I love it. However, right now I'm leaning toward the XD-45 compact, since it's a 4inch .45 with a shortened grip. I do like the M&P, but the XD's price is much more pleasant. BUT, does anybody know why Glock doesn't have a "compact" size .45?! If they did, I'd definitely be interested! WTF?

Well, I like the 30, but I wonder why they don't have a size between the SUB-compact 30 and 36, and the G21? Like the 9mm's have the 17(fullsize), then 19(compact), then 26(sub-compact).

These are supposedly "sub" compacts, right? While subcompact is a bit of a stretch for that pair (own 'em and love 'em), I think he might mean the .45 equivalent to the G19. There probably is not enough room between the 21 and the 30 to add a compact. (guess I was a little late on the post)

What you need to remember is that the 30 and 36 are NOT really "subcompact" Glocks. They call them that, but they are actually closer to the size of the "compact" G19 or G23.

Go hold a Glock in the store, you'll see what I mean.

              Get a Glock!

But they don't make a compact 45. Those are both sub compacts aren't they?

The XD45 compact is a nice gun. I'm a glock guy myself, but I'd consider an XD in 45. We just got back from the gun store an hour ago. My buddy bought an XD45c in dark earth. Felt like a nice pistol.

Great. I know I'm going to start a battle of epic proportions with this thread, but I think I'm gonna have a brain aneurism trying to decide between Glock 21, 30 and XD-45c!

The GLOCK 30 can be Pimped and is extremely accurate. Resale is probably better as well.

Try out the Kahr P45... I did it was the best little single stack 45. While I foolishly traded it for a G36... in hindsite it was awesome!. I just got a P9 and realize how great the little P45 was.

Here is a link to an article you may enjoy. http://www.tactical-life.com/online/...ahr-p45-45acp/

Either way best to you in your quest!

Added: THe G36 I had never had one issue.. It initially out shot the kahr P45 for speed only. It was a great little pistol. I just find the Kahr a better fit in my hand and will go back to it.
