    Color of Kimber Handgun Frame

I was wondering if anyone in here knew the color of kimber frame? It looks like silver matte to me, but is there a color code for it? I mean could i just buy it from a paint shop and get my kimber frame repainted? thanks.

Normal paint wouldn't hold up. Nicks/chips show use, which = love. Be proud of them. But if they bother you, have the whole frame refinished by either the Kimber factory, or perhaps ROBAR or Baercoat.

What model are you talking about? Kimber makes lots of guns with many different color finishes. If you mean a stainless gun, it's a bead blast matte finish with no coating of any kind.

I was talking about the Kimber CDP II version.

The frame of the CDP IIs are anodized aluminum in black.

Did you buy your CDP II used? Otherwise I know of no factory CDPs with silver frame. If you want to paint it and you have a stainless slide, I know John Norrell's molyresin paint in stainless is very close to bead blasted stainless color. Don't know about the "stainless" in Duracoat but it is easier to apply.
